Understand the objective

Monopoly Classic is a contest of cash flow, property groups and negotiation. Two to eight players move around a shared board, buy locations and collect rent. The goal is to remain solvent after the other players go bankrupt. Account coins and the money used on this board are different systems.

How to play

Choose 2–8 seats and Friends, Random or Opponents. Each player begins with 1,500 in game money. Roll the two dice and follow your sticker pawn. Passing GO pays 200. An unowned property can be bought; declining sends it to auction. Landing on an opponent’s unmortgaged property creates rent. Read the deed rather than guessing its cost. On phones, the action sheet shows the relevant large buttons while the board stays visible.

Rules used on this platform

  1. Classic 40-space board for 2–8 players. Each starts with 1500. Highest opening roll starts. Collect 200 when passing or landing on GO. Income tax is 200 and luxury tax is 100.
  2. Unowned property can be bought at its printed price. If declined, the bank auctions it to all players. Pay rent to owners; mortgaged properties collect no rent. A complete colour set doubles unimproved rent.
  3. Build evenly across a complete unmortgaged colour set. Four houses can be upgraded to a hotel. The bank has 32 houses and 12 hotels; scarce buildings are auctioned if several owners are eligible. Sell evenly at half cost.
  4. Mortgage only after selling every building in that colour set. Repayment costs the mortgage plus 10%. A recipient of mortgaged property pays 10% on transfer; later repayment still costs 110%. Trade cash, unimproved properties and jail-free cards by mutual consent.
  5. Doubles grant another roll; three consecutive doubles send you to jail. Leave jail with 50, a card, or doubles within three turns. On the third failed roll, pay 50 and move. Jail-release doubles do not grant another roll. Rent and trading remain possible in jail.
  6. Chance and Community Chest are shuffled 16-card decks. Free Parking gives no money. Raise money to settle debts; otherwise bankruptcy transfers assets to a creditor or returns them to bank auctions. The last player remaining wins.
  7. Decisions have a two-minute clock. Unanswered purchases go to auction; other missed decisions are resolved automatically.

Build a simple plan

A complete colour group enables even construction: build across the group rather than stacking one street first. Keep cash for rent and taxes before buying more buildings. Trade property, cash or eligible jail cards using the in-game offer controls; both parties must agree. Mortgaging can raise cash, but mortgaged property does not collect rent. Compare a trade’s effect on both players, not only the value you receive.

Mistakes to avoid

Chance and Community Chest cards apply their own instructions; read the revealed card. Three consecutive doubles send a player to jail. Jail does not automatically mean bankruptcy: follow the available release choices. Free Parking has no cash jackpot here. When a debt exceeds your cash, use eligible sales or mortgages; bankruptcy is resolved only when payment cannot be met. Never treat game money as real financial advice.

Try this exercise

Before one purchase, write down your cash after buying and the biggest rent you could soon owe. Compare buying now with retaining a reserve. After one trade, identify which colour group became complete for each party. Review the choice using known prices, not the luck of the next dice roll.

Play with your own profile

Open the profile button at the top of a game and choose Create account. Pick an available nickname of 2–20 letters or numbers, with spaces, dots or hyphens. Enter a private password of 10–128 characters and confirm it. Sign in on another device with the same credentials to recover your saved profile and coins. Never send your password in chat.

To try the platform without a password, choose Continue as guest and enter your name before joining. A registered account reserves its nickname: the profile editor does not currently rename it. You can choose a name when creating an account or upgrading a guest account. Check spelling before confirming; changing your sticker or flag does not rename your account.

Open your profile, browse the circular stickers and select the face that suits you. The list scrolls inside the window. Choose a country flag, or the globe option for no flag, then save. Your selected sticker appears beside your name in games and chat; in Parchisi and Monopoly it also represents your moving pawn. Signed-in profile choices are saved to your account.

The chat icon opens the conversation without leaving the game. Each message identifies its sender by nickname and sticker. The microphone button controls what you transmit; the listening button independently mutes or restores other players. A friend can hear you without opening their own microphone, provided listening is enabled. Allow microphone access when asked. Focus mode enlarges the board; closing the chat returns you to it.

Challenge a friend

Open the game you want to play and use Invite or the share icon. For Parchisi or Monopoly, select the number of seats and Friends first. Send the invitation, copy it or let your friend scan its QR code. Your friend enters with a separate profile. The invitation has a ten-minute countdown; if it expires, return home and create a new one. Use the start or fill option where the waiting room offers it.

Organise a tournament

From Tournaments on the homepage, create a cup, choose the game and select 4, 8 or 16 entrants. Choose an open event for random participation, or Friends to share invitations. The organiser controls the friend cup start. Empty places may be filled by platform-controlled opponents; a displayed profile does not establish that a person is online. Read the waiting-room countdown and entry settings before starting.

The current format is knockout with a bronze match. Follow the match cards to see the two opponents and who qualifies. Tournament matches are head-to-head, including the multiplayer games; a four-player Parchisi room is different from a four-entrant tournament. Each decision has a 120-second clock. A drawn match is replayed with reversed sides; after two draws the original seeded order decides qualification.

The final podium awards 100k platform coins for first, 50k for second and 10k for third. These coins track progression; they are not cash prizes. Monopoly money belongs only to the current board and is separate from your account coins. Keep the tournament page open between rounds, review the next match card and wait for the server’s result before leaving.
